Toyota to Sexify Prius with Solar Panels

There are rumblings throughout the automotive industry that solar panels may be a new addition to the 2010 Toyota Prius. That should please the environmentally conscious. However, the extra sun fuel probably won't power more than the car's air conditioning or radio.

Still, that would further aid the Prius' fuel efficiency since it wouldn't have to waste gas on the little things. Of course, the question remains as to how well the car would store sun power when turned off. Also, it likely wouldn't provide anything if it was sitting in a covered garage without easy access to the sun.

Only time will tell whether solar paneled cars bring us one step closer to emulating the Jetsons or if it's just another "Go Green" gimmick. Of course, Jetsons style cars would probably require pilot licenses, huh?
